ਮਃ ੩ ॥ मः ३ ॥ Mėhlā 3. Third Mehl: ਕਲਮਲਿ ਹੋਈ ਮੇਦਨੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ कलमलि होई मेदनी अरदासि करे लिव लाइ ॥ Kalmal ho▫ī meḏnī arḏās kare liv lā▫e. When the people of the world are suffering in pain, they call upon the Lord in loving prayer. ਸਚੈ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕੰਨੁ ਦੇ ਧੀਰਕ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ सचै सुणिआ कंनु दे धीरक देवै सहजि सुभाइ ॥ Sacẖai suṇi▫ā kann ḏe ḏẖīrak ḏevai sahj subẖā▫e. The True Lord naturally listens and hears and gives comfort. ਇੰਦ੍ਰੈ ਨੋ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਵੁਠਾ ਛਹਬਰ ਲਾਇ ॥ इंद्रै नो फुरमाइआ वुठा छहबर लाइ ॥ Inḏrai no furmā▫i▫ā vuṯẖā cẖẖahbar lā▫e. He commands the god of rain, and the rain pours down in torrents. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਦੇਦਾ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸੰਬਾਹਿ ॥ नानक नामु सलाहि तू सभना जीआ देदा रिजकु स्मबाहि ॥ Nānak nām salāhi ṯū sabẖnā jī▫ā ḏeḏā rijak sambāhi. O Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; He reaches out and gives sustenance to all beings. ਅਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਬਹੁ ਘਣਾ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ अनु धनु उपजै बहु घणा कीमति कहणु न जाइ ॥ An ḏẖan upjai baho gẖaṇā kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫e. Corn and wealth are produced in great abundance and prosperity; their value cannot be estimated. ਜਿਤੁ ਖਾਧੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥੨॥ जितु खाधै सुखु ऊपजै फिरि दूखु न लागै आइ ॥२॥ Jiṯ kẖāḏẖai sukẖ ūpjai fir ḏūkẖ na lāgai ā▫e. ||2|| Eating this, peace is produced, and the mortal never again suffers in pain. ||2|| |
