ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥ Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਰਾਗੁ ਮਲਾਰ ਛੰਤ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ रागु मलार छंत महला ५ ॥ Raag malaar chʰanṫ mėhlaa 5. Raag Malaar, Chhant, Fifth Mehl: ਅਪਨੇ ਜਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥ अपने जन संगि राते ॥ Apné jan sang raaṫé. His humble servants are imbued with His Love. ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ॥ प्रीतम प्रेम भगति के दाते ॥ Pareeṫam parém bʰagaṫ ké ḋaaṫé. My Beloved Lord is the Giver of loving devotional worship. ਜਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਤੇ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਨਹੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ॥ जन संगि राते दिनसु राते इक निमख मनहु न वीसरै ॥ Jan sang raaṫé ḋinas raaṫé ik nimakʰ manhu na veesræ. He is imbued with His servants, day and night; He does not forget them from His Mind, even for an instant. ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੇ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ ਜਗਦੀਸਰੈ ॥ गोपाल गुण निधि सदा संगे सरब गुण जगदीसरै ॥ Gopaal guṇ niḋʰ saḋaa sangé sarab guṇ jagḋeesræ. He is the Lord of the World, the Treasure of virtue; He is always with me. All glorious virtues belong to the Lord of the Universe. ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਲੀਨਾ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਗੇ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਿ ਜਨ ਮਾਤੇ ॥ मनु मोहि लीना चरन संगे नाम रसि जन माते ॥ Man mohi leenaa charan sangé naam ras jan maaṫé. With His Feet, He has fascinated my mind; as His humble servant, I am intoxicated with love for His Name. ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸਦਹੂੰ ਕਿਨੈ ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ नानक प्रीतम क्रिपाल सदहूं किनै कोटि मधे जाते ॥१॥ Naanak pareeṫam kirpaal saḋahooⁿ kinæ kot maḋʰé jaaṫé. ||1|| O Nanak! My Beloved is forever Merciful; out of millions, hardly anyone realizes Him. ||1|| ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥ प्रीतम तेरी गति अगम अपारे ॥ Pareeṫam ṫéree gaṫ agam apaaré. O Beloved, Your state is inaccessible and infinite. ਮਹਾ ਪਤਿਤ ਤੁਮੑ ਤਾਰੇ ॥ महा पतित तुम्ह तारे ॥ Mahaa paṫiṫ ṫumĥ ṫaaré. You save even the worst sinners. ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਸੁਆਮੀਆ ॥ पतित पावन भगति वछल क्रिपा सिंधु सुआमीआ ॥ Paṫiṫ paavan bʰagaṫ vachʰal kirpaa sinḋʰ su▫aamee▫aa. He is the Purifier of sinners, the Lover of His devotees, the Ocean of mercy, our Lord and Master. ਸੰਤਸੰਗੇ ਭਜੁ ਨਿਸੰਗੇ ਰਂਉ ਸਦਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀਆ ॥ संतसंगे भजु निसंगे रंउ सदा अंतरजामीआ ॥ Saṫsangé bʰaj nisangé raⁿ▫o saḋaa anṫarjaamee▫aa. In the Society of the Saints, vibrate and meditate on Him with commitment forever; He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤ ਜੋਨੀ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤਾਰੇ ॥ कोटि जनम भ्रमंत जोनी ते नाम सिमरत तारे ॥ Kot janam bʰarmanṫ jonee ṫé naam simraṫ ṫaaré. Those who wander in reincarnation through millions of births, are saved and carried across, by meditating in remembrance of the Naam. ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸਮੑਾਰੇ ॥੨॥ नानक दरस पिआस हरि जीउ आपि लेहु सम्हारे ॥२॥ Naanak ḋaras pi▫aas har jee▫o aap lého samĥaaré. ||2|| Nanak is thirsty for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Dear Lord; please take care of him. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਨਾ ॥ हरि चरन कमल मनु लीना ॥ Har charan kamal man leenaa. My mind is absorbed in the Lotus Feet of the Lord. ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਲ ਜਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੀਨਾ ॥ प्रभ जल जन तेरे मीना ॥ Parabʰ jal jan ṫéré meenaa. O God, You are the water; Your humble servants are fish. ਜਲ ਮੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਏਕ ਤੂਹੈ ਭਿੰਨ ਆਨ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥ जल मीन प्रभ जीउ एक तूहै भिंन आन न जानीऐ ॥ Jal meen parabʰ jee▫o ék ṫoohæ bʰinn aan na jaanee▫æ. O Dear God, You alone are the water and the fish. I know that there is no difference between the two. ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਲੇਵਹੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਤਉ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥ गहि भुजा लेवहु नामु देवहु तउ प्रसादी मानीऐ ॥ Gėh bʰujaa lévhu naam ḋévhu ṫa▫o parsaadee maanee▫æ. Please take hold of my arm and bless me with Your Name. I am honored only by Your Grace. ਭਜੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਏਕ ਰੰਗੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਦੀਨਾ ॥ भजु साधसंगे एक रंगे क्रिपाल गोबिद दीना ॥ Bʰaj saaḋʰsangé ék rangé kirpaal gobiḋ ḋeenaa. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, vibrate and meditate with love on the One Lord of the Universe, who is Merciful to the meek. ਅਨਾਥ ਨੀਚ ਸਰਣਾਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਿ ਮਇਆ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕੀਨਾ ॥੩॥ अनाथ नीच सरणाइ नानक करि मइआ अपुना कीना ॥३॥ Anaaṫʰ neech sarṇaa▫é Naanak kar ma▫i▫aa apunaa keenaa. ||3|| Nanak, the lowly and helpless, seeks the Sanctuary of the Lord, who in His Kindness has made him His Own. ||3|| ਆਚਰਜ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥ आचरज सुआमी अंतरजामी मिले गुण निधि पिआरिआ ॥ Aacharaj su▫aamee anṫarjaamee milé guṇ niḋʰ pi▫aari▫aa. My Wondrous Lord and Master is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. My Beloved, the Treasure of virtue, has met me. ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥ आपस कउ आपु मिलाइआ ॥ Aapas ka▫o aap milaa▫i▫aa. He unites us with Himself. ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੰਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥ भ्रम भंजन हरि राइआ ॥ Bʰaram bʰanjan har raa▫i▫aa. Our Sovereign Lord King is the Destroyer of fear. ਮਹਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੂਖ ਉਪਜੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਰਿਆ ॥ महा मंगल सूख उपजे गोबिंद गुण नित सारिआ ॥ Mahaa mangal sookʰ upjé gobinḋ guṇ niṫ saari▫aa. Supreme happiness and peace well up, as I cherish the Glorious Virtues of the Lord of the Universe. ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੋਹੇ ਦੇਖਿ ਮੋਹੇ ਪੁਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ मिलि संगि सोहे देखि मोहे पुरबि लिखिआ पाइआ ॥ Mil sang sohé ḋékʰ mohé purab likʰi▫aa paa▫i▫aa. Meeting with Him, I am embellished and exalted; gazing on Him, I am fascinated, and I realize my preordained destiny. ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਜਿਨੑੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥ बिनवंति नानक सरनि तिन की जिन्ही हरि हरि धिआइआ ॥४॥१॥ Binvanṫ Naanak saran ṫin kee jinĥee har har ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa. ||4||1|| Prays Nanak, I seek the Sanctuary of those who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||1||
