ਮਨੁ ਘਨੈ ਭ੍ਰਮੈ ਬਨੈ ॥ मनु घनै भ्रमै बनै ॥ Man gʰanæ bʰarmæ banæ. My mind wanders through the dense forest. ਉਮਕਿ ਤਰਸਿ ਚਾਲੈ ॥ उमकि तरसि चालै ॥ Umak ṫaras chaalæ. It walks with eagerness and love, ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਕੀ ਚਾਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ प्रभ मिलबे की चाह ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Parabʰ milbé kee chaah. ||1|| rahaa▫o. hoping to meet God. ||1||Pause|| ਮਲਾਰ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ मलार महला ५ ॥ Malaar mėhlaa 5. Malaar, Fifth Mehl: ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਨ ਮਾਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਆਈ ਕਹੰਉ ਬੇਦਨ ਕਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ त्रै गुन माई मोहि आई कहंउ बेदन काहि ॥१॥ Ṫaræ gun maa▫ee mohi aa▫ee kahaⁿ▫o béḋan kaahi. ||1|| Maya with her three gunas - the three dispositions - has come to entice me; whom can I tell of my pain? ||1|| ਆਨ ਉਪਾਵ ਸਗਰ ਕੀਏ ਨਹਿ ਦੂਖ ਸਾਕਹਿ ਲਾਹਿ ॥ आन उपाव सगर कीए नहि दूख साकहि लाहि ॥ Aan upaav sagar kee▫é nėh ḋookʰ saakėh laahi. I tried everything else, but nothing could rid me of my sorrow. ਭਜੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਮਿਲੁ ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਹਿ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੪॥ भजु सरनि साधू नानका मिलु गुन गोबिंदहि गाहि ॥२॥२॥२४॥ Bʰaj saran saaḋʰoo naankaa mil gun gobinḋėh gaahi. ||2||2||24|| So, hurry to the Sanctuary of the Holy, O Nanak; joining them, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ||2||2||24||
