ਸੂਰਜੁ ਚੜੈ ਵਿਜੋਗਿ ਸਭਸੈ ਘਟੈ ਆਰਜਾ ॥ सूरजु चड़ै विजोगि सभसै घटै आरजा ॥ Sūraj cẖaṛai vijog sabẖsai gẖatai ārjā. The sun rises and sets, and the lives of all run out. ਮਃ ੧ ॥ मः १ ॥ Mėhlā 1. First Mehl: ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਭਰਿਆ ਫੂਕਿ ਆਖਣਿ ਕਹਣਿ ਨ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ੍ਹੀਐ ॥ सभु को भरिआ फूकि आखणि कहणि न थम्हीऐ ॥ Sabẖ ko bẖari▫ā fūk ākẖaṇ kahaṇ na thamĥ▫ī▫ai. Everyone is puffed up with pride; even after they are spoken to, they do not stop. ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਭੋਗਿ ਕੋਈ ਹਾਰੈ ਕੋ ਜਿਣੈ ॥ तनु मनु रता भोगि कोई हारै को जिणै ॥ Ŧan man raṯā bẖog ko▫ī hārai ko jiṇai. The mind and body experience pleasures; one loses, and another wins. ਨਾਨਕ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਫੂਕ ਕਢਾਏ ਢਹਿ ਪਵੈ ॥੨॥ नानक वेखै आपि फूक कढाए ढहि पवै ॥२॥ Nānak vekẖai āp fūk kadẖā▫e dẖėh pavai. ||2|| O Nanak, the Lord Himself sees all; when He takes the air out of the balloon, the body falls. ||2|| |
