ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਕਪਟੁ ਹੈ ਬਾਹਰੁ ਧੋਵਾਇਆ ॥ जिन कै हिरदै मैलु कपटु है बाहरु धोवाइआ ॥ Jin kai hirḏai mail kapat hai bāhar ḏẖovā▫i▫ā. Those whose hearts are filled with the filth of deception, may wash themselves on the outside. ਕੂੜੁ ਕਪਟੁ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਕੂੜੁ ਪਰਗਟੀ ਆਇਆ ॥ कूड़ु कपटु कमावदे कूड़ु परगटी आइआ ॥ Kūṛ kapat kamāvḏe kūṛ pargatī ā▫i▫ā. They practice falsehood and deception, and their falsehood is revealed. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਨਿਕਲੈ ਨਹ ਛਪੈ ਛਪਾਇਆ ॥ अंदरि होइ सु निकलै नह छपै छपाइआ ॥ Anḏar ho▫e so niklai nah cẖẖapai cẖẖapā▫i▫ā. That which is within them, comes out; it cannot be concealed by concealment. ਕੂੜੈ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਲਗਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੂਨੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ कूड़ै लालचि लगिआ फिरि जूनी पाइआ ॥ Kūrhai lālacẖ lagi▫ā fir jūnī pā▫i▫ā. Attached to falsehood and greed, the mortal is consigned to reincarnation over and over again. ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਬੀਜੈ ਸੋ ਖਾਵਣਾ ਕਰਤੈ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧੫॥ नानक जो बीजै सो खावणा करतै लिखि पाइआ ॥१५॥ Nānak jo bījai so kẖāvṇā karṯai likẖ pā▫i▫ā. ||15|| O Nanak, whatever the mortal plants, he must eat. The Creator Lord has written our destiny. ||15||
