ਨਾਇ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਨਾਮੇ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥ नाइ मंनिऐ सुखु ऊपजै नामे गति होई ॥ Nā▫e mani▫ai sukẖ ūpjai nāme gaṯ ho▫ī. With faith in the Name, peace wells up; the Name brings emancipation. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਨਾਇ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਲੰਘੀਐ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥ नाइ मंनिऐ भवजलु लंघीऐ फिरि बिघनु न होई ॥ Nā▫e mani▫ai bẖavjal langẖī▫ai fir bigẖan na ho▫ī. With faith in the Name, one crosses over the terrifying world-ocean, and no obstructions are ever again encountered. ਨਾਇ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਈ ॥ नाइ मंनिऐ पति पाईऐ हिरदै हरि सोई ॥ Nā▫e mani▫ai paṯ pā▫ī▫ai hirḏai har so▫ī. With faith in the Name, honor is obtained. The Lord is enshrined in the heart. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਨਾਉ ਮੰਨੀਐ ਜਿਨ ਦੇਵੈ ਸੋਈ ॥੯॥ नानक सतिगुरि मिलिऐ नाउ मंनीऐ जिन देवै सोई ॥९॥ Nānak saṯgur mili▫ai nā▫o mannī▫ai jin ḏevai so▫ī. ||9|| O Nanak, meeting with the True Guru, one comes to have faith in the Name; he alone has faith, who is blessed with it. ||9|| ਨਾਇ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਪੰਥੁ ਪਰਗਟਾ ਨਾਮੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਈ ॥ नाइ मंनिऐ पंथु परगटा नामे सभ लोई ॥ Nā▫e mani▫ai panth pargatā nāme sabẖ lo▫ī. With faith in the Name, the Path is revealed; through the Name, one is totally enlightened.
