ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਲੋਭਾਇਆ ॥ मनमुखि दूजा भरमु है दूजै लोभाइआ ॥ Manmukʰ ḋoojaa bʰaram hæ ḋoojæ lobʰaa▫i▫aa. The self-willed Manmukh wanders in duality, lured and enticed by duality. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛee. Pauree: ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਹੇਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥ पुत्र कलत्रु मोहु हेतु है सभु दुखु सबाइआ ॥ Puṫar kalaṫar moh héṫ hæ sabʰ ḋukʰ sabaa▫i▫aa. Love and attachment to children and spouse is total misery and pain. ਕੂੜੁ ਕਪਟੁ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਕੂੜੋ ਆਲਾਇਆ ॥ कूड़ु कपटु कमावदे कूड़ो आलाइआ ॥ Kooṛ kapat kamaavḋé kooṛo aalaa▫i▫aa. He practices falsehood and deception, telling lies. ਜਮ ਦਰਿ ਬਧੇ ਮਾਰੀਅਹਿ ਭਰਮਹਿ ਭਰਮਾਇਆ ॥ जम दरि बधे मारीअहि भरमहि भरमाइआ ॥ Jam ḋar baḋʰé maaree▫ah bʰarmėh bʰarmaa▫i▫aa. He is gagged and bound at the door of the Messenger of Death; he dies, and wanders lost in reincarnation. ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ मनमुखि जनमु गवाइआ नानक हरि भाइआ ॥३॥ Manmukʰ janam gavaa▫i▫aa Naanak har bʰaa▫i▫aa. ||3|| The self-willed Manmukh wastes his life; Nanak loves the Lord. ||3||
