ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ सारग महला ५ ॥ Sārag mėhlā 5. Saarang, Fifth Mehl: ਓਅੰ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚੀਤਿ ਪਹਿਲਰੀਆ ॥ ओअं प्रिअ प्रीति चीति पहिलरीआ ॥ O▫aʼn pari▫a parīṯ cẖīṯ pahilarī▫ā. My consciousness has loved my Beloved God, since the very beginning of time. ਜੋ ਤਉ ਬਚਨੁ ਦੀਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਉ ਮੈ ਸਾਜ ਸੀਗਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जो तउ बचनु दीओ मेरे सतिगुर तउ मै साज सीगरीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jo ṯa▫o bacẖan ḏī▫o mere saṯgur ṯa▫o mai sāj sīgrī▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o. When You blessed me with the Teachings, O my True Guru, I was embellished with beauty. ||1||Pause|| ਹਮ ਭੂਲਹ ਤੁਮ ਸਦਾ ਅਭੂਲਾ ਹਮ ਪਤਿਤ ਤੁਮ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਰੀਆ ॥ हम भूलह तुम सदा अभूला हम पतित तुम पतित उधरीआ ॥ Ham bẖūlah ṯum saḏā abẖūlā ham paṯiṯ ṯum paṯiṯ uḏẖrī▫ā. I am mistaken; You are never mistaken. I am a sinner; You are the Saving Grace of sinners. ਹਮ ਨੀਚ ਬਿਰਖ ਤੁਮ ਮੈਲਾਗਰ ਲਾਜ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ हम नीच बिरख तुम मैलागर लाज संगि संगि बसरीआ ॥१॥ Ham nīcẖ birakẖ ṯum mailāgar lāj sang sang basrī▫ā. ||1|| I am a lowly thorn-tree, and You are the sandalwood tree. Please preserve my honor by staying with me; please stay with me. ||1|| ਤੁਮ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਧੀਰ ਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਹਮ ਕਿਆ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਜੰਤਰੀਆ ॥ तुम ग्मभीर धीर उपकारी हम किआ बपुरे जंतरीआ ॥ Ŧum gambẖīr ḏẖīr upkārī ham ki▫ā bapure janṯrī▫ā. You are deep and profound, calm and benevolent. What am I? Just a poor helpless being. ਗੁਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿਓ ਤਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੂਖਿ ਸੇਜਰੀਆ ॥੨॥੨੨॥੪੫॥ गुर क्रिपाल नानक हरि मेलिओ तउ मेरी सूखि सेजरीआ ॥२॥२२॥४५॥ Gur kirpāl Nānak har meli▫o ṯa▫o merī sūkẖ sejrī▫ā. ||2||22||45|| The Merciful Guru Nanak has united me with the Lord. I lay on His Bed of Peace. ||2||22||45||
