ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ सारग महला ४ ॥ Saarag mėhlaa 4. Saarang, Fourth Mehl: ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨੀ ॥ मेरा मनु राम नामि मनु मानी ॥ Méraa man raam naam man maanee. My mind is pleased and appeased by the Name of the Lord. ਮੇਰੈ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਖਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मेरै हीअरै सतिगुरि प्रीति लगाई मनि हरि हरि कथा सुखानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Méræ hee▫aræ saṫgur pareeṫ lagaa▫ee man har har kaṫʰaa sukʰaanee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. The True Guru has implanted divine love within my heart. The Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is pleasing to my mind. ||1||Pause|| ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੋਵਹੁ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਜਨ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥ दीन दइआल होवहु जन ऊपरि जन देवहु अकथ कहानी ॥ Ḋeen ḋa▫i▫aal hovhu jan oopar jan ḋévhu akaṫʰ kahaanee. Please be merciful to Your meek and humble servant; please bless Your humble servant with Your Unspoken Speech. ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ संत जना मिलि हरि रसु पाइआ हरि मनि तनि मीठ लगानी ॥१॥ Sanṫ janaa mil har ras paa▫i▫aa har man ṫan meetʰ lagaanee. ||1|| Meeting with the humble Saints, I have found the sublime essence of the Lord. The Lord seems so sweet to my mind and body. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਜਿਨੑ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥ हरि कै रंगि रते बैरागी जिन्ह गुरमति नामु पछानी ॥ Har kæ rang raṫé bæraagee jinĥ gurmaṫ naam pachʰaanee. They alone are unattached, who are imbued with the Lord’s Love; through the Guru’s Teachings, they realize the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ਪੁਰਖੈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੨॥ पुरखै पुरखु मिलिआ सुखु पाइआ सभ चूकी आवण जानी ॥२॥ Purkʰæ purakʰ mili▫aa sukʰ paa▫i▫aa sabʰ chookee aavaṇ jaanee. ||2|| Meeting with the Primal Being, one finds peace, and one’s comings and goings in reincarnation are ended. ||2|| ਨੈਣੀ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਨੀ ॥ नैणी बिरहु देखा प्रभ सुआमी रसना नामु वखानी ॥ Næṇee birahu ḋékʰaa parabʰ su▫aamee rasnaa naam vakʰaanee. With my eyes, I gaze lovingly upon God, my Lord and Master. I chant His Name with my tongue. ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਨਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਨੀ ॥੩॥ स्रवणी कीरतनु सुनउ दिनु राती हिरदै हरि हरि भानी ॥३॥ Sarvaṇee keerṫan sun▫o ḋin raaṫee hirḋæ har har bʰaanee. ||3|| With my ears, I listen to the Kirtan of His Praises, day and night. I love the Lord, Har, Har, with all my heart. ||3|| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੫॥ जन नानक हरि किरपा धारी हरि रामै नामि समानी ॥४॥५॥ Jan Naanak har kirpaa ḋʰaaree har raamæ naam samaanee. ||4||5|| The Lord has showered His Mercy on servant Nanak; he merges into the Lord, in the Name of the Lord. ||4||5|| ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਆਣੇ ਤਉ ਉਨਮਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗਾਨੀ ॥ पंच जना गुरि वसगति आणे तउ उनमनि नामि लगानी ॥ Panch janaa gur vasgaṫ aaṇé ṫa▫o unman naam lagaanee. When the Guru helped me to overcome the five thieves, then I found ultimate bliss, attached to the Naam.
