The Yogis, wandering ascetics and renunciates - ਮਨੁ ਚੰਚਲੁ ਯਾ ਤੇ ਗਹਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ मनु चंचलु या ते गहिओ न जाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Man cẖancẖal yā ṯe gahi▫o na jā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o. He cannot control his fickle mind. ||1||Pause|| ਸਭ ਹੀ ਪਰਿ ਡਾਰੀ ਇਹ ਫਾਸ ॥੧॥ सभ ही परि डारी इह फास ॥१॥ Sabẖ hī par dārī ih fās. ||1|| this net is cast over them all. ||1|| ਜਿਹਿ ਜਿਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਿ ॥ जिहि जिहि हरि को नामु सम्हारि ॥ Jihi jihi har ko nām samĥār. Those who contemplate the Name of the Lord ਤੇ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ ते भव सागर उतरे पारि ॥२॥ Ŧe bẖav sāgar uṯre pār. ||2|| cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2|| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾਇ ॥ जन नानक हरि की सरनाइ ॥ Jan Nānak har kī sarnā▫e. Servant Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Lord. ਦੀਜੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਹੈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ॥੩॥੨॥ दीजै नामु रहै गुन गाइ ॥३॥२॥ Ḏījai nām rahai gun gā▫e. ||3||2|| Please bestow the blessing of Your Name, that he may continue to sing Your Glorious Praises. ||3||2||
