ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ बसंतु महला ५ ॥ Basanṯ mėhlā 5. Basant, Fifth Mehl: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਇ ॥ प्रभ प्रीतम मेरै संगि राइ ॥ Parabẖ parīṯam merai sang rā▫e. My Beloved God, my King is with me. ਜਿਸਹਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾ ਮਾਇ ॥ जिसहि देखि हउ जीवा माइ ॥ Jisahi ḏekẖ ha▫o jīvā mā▫e. Gazing upon Him, I live, O my mother. ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ जा कै सिमरनि दुखु न होइ ॥ Jā kai simran ḏukẖ na ho▫e. Remembering Him in meditation, there is no pain or suffering. ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਮੋਹਿ ॥੧॥ करि दइआ मिलावहु तिसहि मोहि ॥१॥ Kar ḏa▫i▫ā milāvhu ṯisėh mohi. ||1|| Please, take pity on me, and lead me on to meet Him. ||1|| ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਮਨ ॥ मेरे प्रीतम प्रान अधार मन ॥ Mere parīṯam parān aḏẖār man. My Beloved is the Support of my breath of life and mind. ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਧਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जीउ प्रान सभु तेरो धन ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jī▫o parān sabẖ ṯero ḏẖan. ||1|| rahā▫o. This soul, breath of life, and wealth are all Yours, O Lord. ||1||Pause|| ਜਾ ਕਉ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਦੇਵ ॥ जा कउ खोजहि सुरि नर देव ॥ Jā ka▫o kẖojėh sur nar ḏev. He is sought by the angels, mortals and divine beings. ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਸੇਖ ਨ ਲਹਹਿ ਭੇਵ ॥ मुनि जन सेख न लहहि भेव ॥ Mun jan sekẖ na lahėh bẖev. The silent sages, the humble, and the religious teachers do not understand His mystery. ਜਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ जा की गति मिति कही न जाइ ॥ Jā kī gaṯ miṯ kahī na jā▫e. His state and extent cannot be described. ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ घटि घटि घटि घटि रहिआ समाइ ॥२॥ Gẖat gẖat gẖat gẖat rahi▫ā samā▫e. ||2|| In each and every home of each and every heart, He is permeating and pervading. ||2|| ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੈ ॥ जा के भगत आनंद मै ॥ Jā ke bẖagaṯ ānanḏ mai. His devotees are totally in bliss. ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਕਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਖੈ ॥ जा के भगत कउ नाही खै ॥ Jā ke bẖagaṯ ka▫o nāhī kẖai. His devotees cannot be destroyed. ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਕਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਭੈ ॥ जा के भगत कउ नाही भै ॥ Jā ke bẖagaṯ ka▫o nāhī bẖai. His devotees are not afraid. ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਜੈ ॥੩॥ जा के भगत कउ सदा जै ॥३॥ Jā ke bẖagaṯ ka▫o saḏā jai. ||3|| His devotees are victorious forever. ||3|| ਕਉਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥ कउन उपमा तेरी कही जाइ ॥ Ka▫un upmā ṯerī kahī jā▫e. What Praises of Yours can I utter? ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ सुखदाता प्रभु रहिओ समाइ ॥ Sukẖ▫ḏāṯa parabẖ rahi▫o samā▫e. God, the Giver of peace, is all-pervading, permeating everywhere. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਏਕੁ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ नानकु जाचै एकु दानु ॥ Nānak jācẖai ek ḏān. Nanak begs for this one gift. ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੪॥੫॥ करि किरपा मोहि देहु नामु ॥४॥५॥ Kar kirpā mohi ḏeh nām. ||4||5|| Be merciful, and bless me with Your Name. ||4||5||
