ਤੁਮੑ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਡ ਅਗਮ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਹਮ ਕੀਰੇ ਕਿਰਮ ਤੁਮਨਛੇ ॥ तुम्ह वड पुरख वड अगम गुसाई हम कीरे किरम तुमनछे ॥ Ṫumĥ vad purakʰ vad agam gusaa▫ee ham keeré kiram ṫumnachʰé. You are the Great Supreme Being, the Vast and Inaccessible Lord of the World; I am a mere insect, a worm created by You. ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਹਿੰਡੋਲ ॥ बसंतु महला ४ हिंडोल ॥ Basanṫ mėhlaa 4 hindol. Basant, Fourth Mehl, Hindol: ਹਰਿ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਹਮ ਬਨਛੇ ॥੧॥ हरि दीन दइआल करहु प्रभ किरपा गुर सतिगुर चरण हम बनछे ॥१॥ Har ḋeen ḋa▫i▫aal karahu parabʰ kirpaa gur saṫgur charaṇ ham banchʰé. ||1|| O Lord, Merciful to the meek, please grant Your Grace; O God, I long for the feet of the Guru, the True Guru. ||1|| ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀਉ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਕਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਛੇ ॥ गोबिंद जीउ सतसंगति मेलि करि क्रिपछे ॥ Gobinḋ jee▫o saṫsangaṫ mél kar kirpachʰé. O Dear Lord of the Universe, please be merciful and unite me with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਮਲੁ ਭਰਿਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਨਛੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जनम जनम के किलविख मलु भरिआ मिलि संगति करि प्रभ हनछे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Janam janam ké kilvikʰ mal bʰari▫aa mil sangaṫ kar parabʰ hanchʰé. ||1|| rahaa▫o. I was overflowing with the filthy sins of countless past lives. But joining the Sangat, God made me pure again. ||1||Pause|| ਤੁਮੑਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਤਿ ਅਵਿਜਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵੀਛੇ ॥ तुम्हरा जनु जाति अविजाता हरि जपिओ पतित पवीछे ॥ Ṫumĥraa jan jaaṫ avijaaṫaa har japi▫o paṫiṫ paveechʰé. Your humble servant, whether of high class or low class, O Lord - by meditating on You, the sinner becomes pure. ਹਰਿ ਕੀਓ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਤੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਿਨਛੇ ॥੨॥ हरि कीओ सगल भवन ते ऊपरि हरि सोभा हरि प्रभ दिनछे ॥२॥ Har kee▫o sagal bʰavan ṫé oopar har sobʰaa har parabʰ ḋinchʰé. ||2|| The Lord exalts and elevates him above the whole world, and the Lord God blesses him with the Lord’s Glory. ||2|| ਜਾਤਿ ਅਜਾਤਿ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਸਭਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਾਨਸ ਤਿਨਛੇ ॥ जाति अजाति कोई प्रभ धिआवै सभि पूरे मानस तिनछे ॥ Jaaṫ ajaaṫ ko▫ee parabʰ ḋʰi▫aavæ sabʰ pooré maanas ṫinchʰé. Anyone who meditates on God, whether of high class or low class, will have all of his hopes and desires fulfilled. ਸੇ ਧੰਨਿ ਵਡੇ ਵਡ ਪੂਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਜਿਨੑ ਹਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਛੇ ॥੩॥ से धंनि वडे वड पूरे हरि जन जिन्ह हरि धारिओ हरि उरछे ॥३॥ Sé ḋʰan vadé vad pooré har jan jinĥ har ḋʰaari▫o har urchʰé. ||3|| Those humble servants of the Lord who enshrine the Lord within their hearts, are blessed, and are made great and totally perfect. ||3|| ਹਮ ਢੀਂਢੇ ਢੀਮ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਛੇ ॥ हम ढींढे ढीम बहुतु अति भारी हरि धारि क्रिपा प्रभ मिलछे ॥ Ham dʰeeⁿdʰé dʰeem bahuṫ aṫ bʰaaree har ḋʰaar kirpaa parabʰ milchʰé. I am so low, I am an utterly heavy lump of clay. Please shower Your Mercy on me, Lord, and unite me with Yourself. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਤੂਠੇ ਹਮ ਕੀਏ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵੀਛੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੪॥ जन नानक गुरु पाइआ हरि तूठे हम कीए पतित पवीछे ॥४॥२॥४॥ Jan Naanak gur paa▫i▫aa har ṫootʰé ham kee▫é paṫiṫ paveechʰé. ||4||2||4|| The Lord, in His Mercy, has led servant Nanak to find the Guru; I was a sinner, and now I have become immaculate and pure. ||||4||2||4||
