ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਦੁਇ ਸਦੇ ਪਏ ॥ रैणि दिनसु दुइ सदे पए ॥ Ræṇ ḋinas ḋu▫é saḋé pa▫é. Day and night, the two calls are sent out. ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ बसंतु महला ४ ॥ Basanṫ mėhlaa 4. Basant, Fourth Mehl: ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥ हरि हरि चेति सदा मन मेरे ॥ Har har chéṫ saḋaa man méré. Concentrate forever on the Lord, Har, Har, O my mind. ਸਭੁ ਆਲਸੁ ਦੂਖ ਭੰਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सभु आलसु दूख भंजि प्रभु पाइआ गुरमति गावहु गुण प्रभ केरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sabʰ aalas ḋookʰ bʰanj parabʰ paa▫i▫aa gurmaṫ gaavhu guṇ parabʰ kéré. ||1|| rahaa▫o. God the Destroyer of all depression and suffering is found, through the Guru’s Teachings, singing the Glorious Praises of God. ||1||Pause|| ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲਏ ॥੧॥ मन हरि सिमरहु अंति सदा रखि लए ॥१॥ Man har simrahu anṫ saḋaa rakʰ la▫é. ||1|| O mortal, meditate in remembrance of the Lord, who protects you forever, and saves you in the end. ||1|| ਮਨਮੁਖ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੁਏ ॥ मनमुख फिरि फिरि हउमै मुए ॥ Manmukʰ fir fir ha▫umæ mu▫é. The self-willed Manmukhs die of their egotism, over and over again. ਕਾਲਿ ਦੈਤਿ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਗਏ ॥੨॥ कालि दैति संघारे जम पुरि गए ॥२॥ Kaal ḋæṫ sangʰaaré jam pur ga▫é. ||2|| They are destroyed by Death’s demons, and they must go to the City of Death. ||2|| ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ गुरमुखि हरि हरि हरि लिव लागे ॥ Gurmukʰ har har har liv laagé. The Gurmukhs are lovingly attached to the Lord, Har, Har, Har. ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੋਊ ਦੁਖ ਭਾਗੇ ॥੩॥ जनम मरण दोऊ दुख भागे ॥३॥ Janam maraṇ ḋo▫oo ḋukʰ bʰaagé. ||3|| Their pains of both birth and death are taken away. ||3|| ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ भगत जना कउ हरि किरपा धारी ॥ Bʰagaṫ janaa ka▫o har kirpaa ḋʰaaree. The Lord showers His Mercy on His humble devotees. ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤੁਠਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥ गुरु नानकु तुठा मिलिआ बनवारी ॥४॥२॥ Gur Naanak ṫutʰaa mili▫aa banvaaree. ||4||2|| Guru Nanak has shown mercy to me; I have met the Lord, the Lord of the forest. ||4||2||
