ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਆ ਕਿਰਮ ਜੰਤੁ ॥ तेरा कीआ किरम जंतु ॥ Ŧerā kī▫ā kiram janṯ. I am just a worm, created by You, O Lord. ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਇਕ ਤੁਕੇ ॥ बसंतु महला ३ इक तुके ॥ Basanṯ mėhlā 3 ik ṯuke. Basant, Third Mehl, Ik-Tukas: ਗੁਣ ਆਖਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇ ॥ गुण आखि वीचारी मेरी माइ ॥ Guṇ ākẖ vīcẖārī merī mā▫e. I chant and reflect on His Glorious Virtues, O my mother. ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਗਉ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हरि जपि हरि कै लगउ पाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Har jap har kai laga▫o pā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o. Meditating on the Lord, I fall at the Lord's Feet. ||1||Pause|| ਦੇਹਿ ਤ ਜਾਪੀ ਆਦਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੧॥ देहि त जापी आदि मंतु ॥१॥ Ḏėh ṯa jāpī āḏ manṯ. ||1|| If you bless me, then I chant Your Primal Mantra. ||1|| ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਆਦਿ ॥ गुर प्रसादि लागे नाम सुआदि ॥ Gur parsāḏ lāge nām su▫āḏ. By Guru's Grace, I am addicted to the favor of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ਕਾਹੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਵਹੁ ਵੈਰਿ ਵਾਦਿ ॥੨॥ काहे जनमु गवावहु वैरि वादि ॥२॥ Kāhe janam gavāvahu vair vāḏ. ||2|| Why waste your life in hatred, vengeance and conflict? ||2|| ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਚੂਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ गुरि किरपा कीन्ही चूका अभिमानु ॥ Gur kirpā kīnĥī cẖūkā abẖimān. When the Guru granted His Grace, my egotism was eradicated, ਸਹਜ ਭਾਇ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੩॥ सहज भाइ पाइआ हरि नामु ॥३॥ Sahj bẖā▫e pā▫i▫ā har nām. ||3|| and then, I obtained the Lord's Name with intuitive ease. ||3|| ਊਤਮੁ ਊਚਾ ਸਬਦ ਕਾਮੁ ॥ ऊतमु ऊचा सबद कामु ॥ Ūṯam ūcẖā sabaḏ kām. The most lofty and exalted occupation is to contemplate the Word of the Shabad. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੩॥ नानकु वखाणै साचु नामु ॥४॥१॥१३॥ Nānak vakẖāṇai sācẖ nām. ||4||1||13|| Nanak chants the True Name. ||4||1||13|| ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ इहु मनु मउलिआ सतिगुरू संगि ॥१॥ Ih man ma▫oli▫ā saṯgurū sang. ||1|| This mind blossoms forth, in association with the True Guru. ||1|| ਬਨਸਪਤਿ ਮਉਲੀ ਚੜਿਆ ਬਸੰਤੁ ॥ बनसपति मउली चड़िआ बसंतु ॥ Banaspaṯ ma▫ulī cẖaṛi▫ā basanṯ. The season of spring has come, and all the plants have blossomed forth.
