ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ बसंतु महला ३ ॥ Basanṯ mėhlā 3. Basant, Third Mehl: ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਏ ॥ माइआ मोहु सबदि जलाए ॥ Mā▫i▫ā moh sabaḏ jalā▫e. Attachment to Maya is burnt away by the Word of the Shabad. ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ॥ मनु तनु हरिआ सतिगुर भाए ॥ Man ṯan hari▫ā saṯgur bẖā▫e. The mind and body are rejuvenated by the Love of the True Guru. ਸਫਲਿਓੁ ਬਿਰਖੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਦੁਆਰਿ ॥ सफलिओ बिरखु हरि कै दुआरि ॥ Safli▫o birakẖ har kai ḏu▫ār. The tree bears fruit at the Lord's Door, ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥੧॥ साची बाणी नाम पिआरि ॥१॥ Sācẖī baṇī nām pi▫ār. ||1|| in love with the True Bani of the Guru's Word, and the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| ਏ ਮਨ ਹਰਿਆ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ ए मन हरिआ सहज सुभाइ ॥ Ė man hari▫ā sahj subẖā▫e. This mind is rejuvenated, with intuitive ease; ਸਚ ਫਲੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ सच फलु लागै सतिगुर भाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sacẖ fal lāgai saṯgur bẖā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o. loving the True Guru, it bears the fruit of truth. ||1||Pause|| ਆਪੇ ਨੇੜੈ ਆਪੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ आपे नेड़ै आपे दूरि ॥ Āpe neṛai āpe ḏūr. He Himself is near, and He Himself is far away. ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਦ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥ गुर कै सबदि वेखै सद हजूरि ॥ Gur kai sabaḏ vekẖai saḏ hajūr. Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, He is seen to be ever-present, close at hand. ਛਾਵ ਘਣੀ ਫੂਲੀ ਬਨਰਾਇ ॥ छाव घणी फूली बनराइ ॥ Cẖẖāv gẖaṇī fūlī banrā▫e. The plants have blossomed forth, giving a dense shade. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੨॥ गुरमुखि बिगसै सहजि सुभाइ ॥२॥ Gurmukẖ bigsai sahj subẖā▫e. ||2|| The Gurmukh blossoms forth, with intuitive ease. ||2|| ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥ अनदिनु कीरतनु करहि दिन राति ॥ An▫ḏin kīrṯan karahi ḏin rāṯ. Night and day, he sings the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, day and night. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਗਵਾਈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜੂਠਿ ਭਰਾਂਤਿ ॥ सतिगुरि गवाई विचहु जूठि भरांति ॥ Saṯgur gavā▫ī vicẖahu jūṯẖ bẖarāʼnṯ. The True Guru drives out sin and doubt from within. ਪਰਪੰਚ ਵੇਖਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ॥ परपंच वेखि रहिआ विसमादु ॥ Parpancẖ vekẖ rahi▫ā vismāḏ. Gazing upon the wonder of God's Creation, I am wonder-struck and amazed. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੁ ॥੩॥ गुरमुखि पाईऐ नाम प्रसादु ॥३॥ Gurmukẖ pā▫ī▫ai nām parsāḏ. ||3|| The Gurmukh obtains the Naam, the Name of the Lord, by His Grace. ||3|| ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ॥ आपे करता सभि रस भोग ॥ Āpe karṯā sabẖ ras bẖog. The Creator Himself enjoys all delights. ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਪਰੁ ਹੋਗ ॥ जो किछु करे सोई परु होग ॥ Jo kicẖẖ kare so▫ī par hog. Whatever He does, surely comes to pass. ਵਡਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਇ ॥ वडा दाता तिलु न तमाइ ॥ vadā ḏāṯā ṯil na ṯamā▫e. He is the Great Giver; He has no greed at all. ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੬॥ नानक मिलीऐ सबदु कमाइ ॥४॥६॥ Nānak milī▫ai sabaḏ kamā▫e. ||4||6|| O Nanak, living the Word of the Shabad, the mortal meets with God. ||4||6||
