ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ॥ सगल भवन तेरी माइआ मोह ॥ Sagal bʰavan ṫéree maa▫i▫aa moh. All the worlds have been fascinated and enchanted by Your Maya, O Lord. ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ बसंतु महला १ ॥ Basanṫ mėhlaa 1. Basant, First Mehl: ਮੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਸਰਬ ਤੋਹ ॥ मै अवरु न दीसै सरब तोह ॥ Mæ avar na ḋeesæ sarab ṫoh. I do not see any other at all - You are everywhere. ਤੂ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਾਥਾ ਦੇਵਾ ਦੇਵ ॥ तू सुरि नाथा देवा देव ॥ Ṫoo sur naaṫʰaa ḋévaa ḋév. You are the Master of Yogis, the Divinity of the divine. ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਲਾਲ ॥ मेरे सुंदर गहिर ग्मभीर लाल ॥ Méré sunḋar gahir gambʰeer laal. O my Beauteous, Deep and Profound Beloved Lord. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ हरि नामु मिलै गुर चरन सेव ॥१॥ Har naam milæ gur charan sév. ||1|| Serving at the Guru’s Feet, the Name of the Lord is received. ||1|| ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ਤੂ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ गुरमुखि राम नाम गुन गाए तू अपर्मपरु सरब पाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Gurmukʰ raam naam gun gaa▫é ṫoo aprampar sarab paal. ||1|| rahaa▫o. As Gurmukh, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord’s Name. You are Infinite, the Cherisher of all. ||1||Pause|| ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ॥ बिनु साध न पाईऐ हरि का संगु ॥ Bin saaḋʰ na paa▫ee▫æ har kaa sang. Without the Holy Saint, association with the Lord is not obtained. ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਮੈਲ ਮਲੀਨ ਅੰਗੁ ॥ बिनु गुर मैल मलीन अंगु ॥ Bin gur mæl maleen ang. Without the Guru, one’s very fiber is stained with filth. ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਸੁਧੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ बिनु हरि नाम न सुधु होइ ॥ Bin har naam na suḋʰ ho▫é. Without the Lord’s Name, one cannot become pure. ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥ गुर सबदि सलाहे साचु सोइ ॥२॥ Gur sabaḋ salaahé saach so▫é. ||2|| Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, sing the Praises of the True Lord. ||2|| ਜਾ ਕਉ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਰਖਨਹਾਰ ॥ जा कउ तू राखहि रखनहार ॥ Jaa ka▫o ṫoo raakʰahi rakʰaṇhaar. O Savior Lord, that person whom You have saved- ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਵਹਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਾਰ ॥ सतिगुरू मिलावहि करहि सार ॥ Saṫguroo milaavėh karahi saar. You lead him to meet the True Guru, and so take care of him. ਬਿਖੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਮਤਾ ਪਰਹਰਾਇ ॥ बिखु हउमै ममता परहराइ ॥ Bikʰ ha▫umæ mamṫaa parahraa▫é. You take away his poisonous egotism and attachment. ਸਭਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ॥੩॥ सभि दूख बिनासे राम राइ ॥३॥ Sabʰ ḋookʰ binaasé raam raa▫é. ||3|| You dispel all his sufferings, O Sovereign Lord God. ||3|| ਊਤਮ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਸਰੀਰ ॥ ऊतम गति मिति हरि गुन सरीर ॥ Ooṫam gaṫ miṫ har gun sareer. His state and condition are sublime; the Lord’s Glorious Virtues permeate his body. ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਹੀਰ ॥ गुरमति प्रगटे राम नाम हीर ॥ Gurmaṫ pargaté raam naam heer. Through the Word of the Guru’s Teachings, the diamond of the Lord’s Name is revealed.
