ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ निंदक कउ फिटके संसारु ॥ Ninḋak ka▫o fitké sansaar. The entire universe curses the slanderer. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ भैरउ महला ५ ॥ Bʰæro mėhlaa 5. Bhairao, Fifth Mehl: ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਮੈਲਾ ਆਚਾਰੁ ॥ निंदक का मैला आचारु ॥ Ninḋak kaa mælaa aachaar. The slanderer’s lifestyle is filthy and polluted. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ॥ निंदक का झूठा बिउहारु ॥ Ninḋak kaa jʰootʰaa bi▫uhaar. False are the dealings of the slanderer. ਦਾਸ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ दास अपुने कउ राखनहारु ॥१॥ Ḋaas apuné ka▫o raakʰanhaar. ||1|| The Lord is the Saving Grace and the Protector of His slave. ||1|| ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਮੁਆ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥ निंदकु मुआ निंदक कै नालि ॥ Ninḋak mu▫aa ninḋak kæ naal. The slanderer dies with the rest of the slanderers. ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਕੜਕਿਓ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ पारब्रहम परमेसरि जन राखे निंदक कै सिरि कड़किओ कालु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Paarbarahm parmésar jan raakʰé ninḋak kæ sir kaṛki▫o kaal. ||1|| rahaa▫o. The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, protects and saves His humble servant. Death roars and thunders over the head of the slanderer. ||1||Pause|| ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ॥ निंदक का कहिआ कोइ न मानै ॥ Ninḋak kaa kahi▫aa ko▫é na maanæ. No one believes what the slanderer says. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਝੂਠੁ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਨੇ ॥ निंदक झूठु बोलि पछुताने ॥ Ninḋak jʰootʰ bol pachʰuṫaané. The slanderer tells lies, and later regrets and repents. ਹਾਥ ਪਛੋਰਹਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਧਰਨਿ ਲਗਾਹਿ ॥ हाथ पछोरहि सिरु धरनि लगाहि ॥ Haaṫʰ pachʰorėh sir ḋʰaran lagaahi. He wrings his hands, and hits his head against the ground. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਦਈ ਛੋਡੈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ निंदक कउ दई छोडै नाहि ॥२॥ Ninḋak ka▫o ḋa▫ee chʰodæ naahi. ||2|| The Lord does not forgive the slanderer. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ॥ हरि का दासु किछु बुरा न मागै ॥ Har kaa ḋaas kichʰ buraa na maagæ. The Lord’s slave does not wish anyone ill. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੁਖ ਸਾਂਗੈ ॥ निंदक कउ लागै दुख सांगै ॥ Ninḋak ka▫o laagæ ḋukʰ saaⁿgæ. The slanderer suffers, as if stabbed by a spear. ਬਗੁਲੇ ਜਿਉ ਰਹਿਆ ਪੰਖ ਪਸਾਰਿ ॥ बगुले जिउ रहिआ पंख पसारि ॥ Bagulé ji▫o rahi▫aa pankʰ pasaar. Like a crane, he spreads his feathers, to look like a swan. ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ हरि जनु करै सु निहचलु होइ ॥ Har jan karæ so nihchal ho▫é. That person, whom the Lord makes His Own, becomes stable and steady. ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ अंतरजामी करता सोइ ॥ Anṫarjaamee karṫaa so▫é. The Creator is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਢਿਆ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ मुख ते बोलिआ तां कढिआ बीचारि ॥३॥ Mukʰ ṫé boli▫aa ṫaaⁿ kadʰi▫aa beechaar. ||3|| When he speaks with his mouth, then he is exposed and driven out. ||3|| ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥ हरि का दासु साचा दरबारि ॥ Har kaa ḋaas saachaa ḋarbaar. The Lord’s slave is true in the Court of the Lord. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਿਆ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੪੧॥੫੪॥ जन नानक कहिआ ततु बीचारि ॥४॥४१॥५४॥ Jan Naanak kahi▫aa ṫaṫ beechaar. ||4||41||54|| Servant Nanak speaks, after contemplating the essence of reality. ||4||41||54||
