ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ निंदक कउ फिटके संसारु ॥ Ninḏak ka▫o fitke sansār. The entire universe curses the slanderer. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ भैरउ महला ५ ॥ Bẖairo mėhlā 5. Bhairao, Fifth Mehl: ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਮੈਲਾ ਆਚਾਰੁ ॥ निंदक का मैला आचारु ॥ Ninḏak kā mailā ācẖār. The slanderer's lifestyle is filthy and polluted. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ॥ निंदक का झूठा बिउहारु ॥ Ninḏak kā jẖūṯẖā bi▫uhār. False are the dealings of the slanderer. ਦਾਸ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ दास अपुने कउ राखनहारु ॥१॥ Ḏās apune ka▫o rākẖanhār. ||1|| The Lord is the Saving Grace and the Protector of His slave. ||1|| ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਮੁਆ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥ निंदकु मुआ निंदक कै नालि ॥ Ninḏak mu▫ā ninḏak kai nāl. The slanderer dies with the rest of the slanderers. ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਕੜਕਿਓ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ पारब्रहम परमेसरि जन राखे निंदक कै सिरि कड़किओ कालु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Pārbarahm parmesar jan rākẖe ninḏak kai sir kaṛki▫o kāl. ||1|| rahā▫o. The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, protects and saves His humble servant. Death roars and thunders over the head of the slanderer. ||1||Pause|| ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ॥ निंदक का कहिआ कोइ न मानै ॥ Ninḏak kā kahi▫ā ko▫e na mānai. No one believes what the slanderer says. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਝੂਠੁ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਨੇ ॥ निंदक झूठु बोलि पछुताने ॥ Ninḏak jẖūṯẖ bol pacẖẖuṯāne. The slanderer tells lies, and later regrets and repents. ਹਾਥ ਪਛੋਰਹਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਧਰਨਿ ਲਗਾਹਿ ॥ हाथ पछोरहि सिरु धरनि लगाहि ॥ Hāth pacẖẖorėh sir ḏẖaran lagāhi. He wrings his hands, and hits his head against the ground. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਦਈ ਛੋਡੈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ निंदक कउ दई छोडै नाहि ॥२॥ Ninḏak ka▫o ḏa▫ī cẖẖodai nāhi. ||2|| The Lord does not forgive the slanderer. ||2|| ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ॥ हरि का दासु किछु बुरा न मागै ॥ Har kā ḏās kicẖẖ burā na māgai. The Lord's slave does not wish anyone ill. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੁਖ ਸਾਂਗੈ ॥ निंदक कउ लागै दुख सांगै ॥ Ninḏak ka▫o lāgai ḏukẖ sāʼngai. The slanderer suffers, as if stabbed by a spear. ਬਗੁਲੇ ਜਿਉ ਰਹਿਆ ਪੰਖ ਪਸਾਰਿ ॥ बगुले जिउ रहिआ पंख पसारि ॥ Bagule ji▫o rahi▫ā pankẖ pasār. Like a crane, he spreads his feathers, to look like a swan. ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ हरि जनु करै सु निहचलु होइ ॥ Har jan karai so nihcẖal ho▫e. That person, whom the Lord makes His Own, becomes stable and steady. ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ अंतरजामी करता सोइ ॥ Anṯarjāmī karṯā so▫e. The Creator is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਢਿਆ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ मुख ते बोलिआ तां कढिआ बीचारि ॥३॥ Mukẖ ṯe boli▫ā ṯāʼn kadẖi▫ā bīcẖār. ||3|| When he speaks with his mouth, then he is exposed and driven out. ||3|| ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥ हरि का दासु साचा दरबारि ॥ Har kā ḏās sācẖā ḏarbār. The Lord's slave is true in the Court of the Lord. ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਿਆ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੪੧॥੫੪॥ जन नानक कहिआ ततु बीचारि ॥४॥४१॥५४॥ Jan Nānak kahi▫ā ṯaṯ bīcẖār. ||4||41||54|| Servant Nanak speaks, after contemplating the essence of reality. ||4||41||54||
