ਗੁਰ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਭਉ ਗਏ ॥ गुर सुप्रसंन होए भउ गए ॥ Gur suparsan ho▫e bẖa▫o ga▫e. When the Guru was totally pleased, my fear was taken away. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ भैरउ महला ५ ॥ Bẖairo mėhlā 5. Bhairao, Fifth Mehl: ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥ दीन दइआल सदा किरपाल ॥ Ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl saḏā kirpāl. He is Merciful to the meek, forever Compassionate. ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥੧॥ बिनसि गए सगले जंजाल ॥१॥ Binas ga▫e sagle janjāl. ||1|| All my entanglements are finished. ||1|| ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਲਏ ॥ नाम निरंजन मन महि लए ॥ Nām niranjan man mėh la▫e. I enshrine the Name of the Immaculate Lord within my mind. ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਨੇ ॥ सूख सहज आनंद घने ॥ Sūkẖ sahj ānanḏ gẖane. I have found peace, poise, and myriads of pleasures. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਭੈ ਭਰਮਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਨ ਭਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ साधसंगि मिटे भै भरमा अम्रितु हरि हरि रसन भने ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Sāḏẖsang mite bẖai bẖarmā amriṯ har har rasan bẖane. ||1|| rahā▫o. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, fear and doubt are dispelled. My tongue chants the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause|| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਹੇਤੁ ॥ चरन कमल सिउ लागो हेतु ॥ Cẖaran kamal si▫o lāgo heṯ. I have fallen in love with the Lord's Lotus Feet. ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਮਹਾ ਪਰੇਤੁ ॥ खिन महि बिनसिओ महा परेतु ॥ Kẖin mėh binsi▫o mahā pareṯ. In an instant, the terrible demons are destroyed. ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥ आठ पहर हरि हरि जपु जापि ॥ Āṯẖ pahar har har jap jāp. Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate and chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਿ ॥੨॥ राखनहार गोविद गुर आपि ॥२॥ Rākẖanhār goviḏ gur āp. ||2|| The Guru is Himself the Savior Lord, the Lord of the Universe. ||2|| ਅਪਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੈ ॥ अपने सेवक कउ सदा प्रतिपारै ॥ Apne sevak ka▫o saḏā parṯipārai. He Himself cherishes His servant forever. ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਸ ਨਿਹਾਰੈ ॥ भगत जना के सास निहारै ॥ Bẖagaṯ janā ke sās nihārai. He watches over every breath of His humble devotee. ਮਾਨਸ ਕੀ ਕਹੁ ਕੇਤਕ ਬਾਤ ॥ मानस की कहु केतक बात ॥ Mānas kī kaho keṯak bāṯ. Tell me, what is the nature of human beings? ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਭਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰੀਤਿ ॥ निरमल सोभा निरमल रीति ॥ Nirmal sobẖā nirmal rīṯ. Immaculate is the Glory, and Immaculate is the way of life, ਜਮ ਤੇ ਰਾਖੈ ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਥ ॥੩॥ जम ते राखै दे करि हाथ ॥३॥ Jam ṯe rākẖai ḏe kar hāth. ||3|| The Lord extends His Hand, and saves them from the Messenger of Death. ||3|| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਆਇਆ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਤਿ ॥ पारब्रहमु आइआ मनि चीति ॥ Pārbarahm ā▫i▫ā man cẖīṯ. of those who remember the Supreme Lord God in their minds. ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ करि किरपा गुरि दीनो दानु ॥ Kar kirpā gur ḏīno ḏān. The Guru, in His Mercy, has granted this Gift. ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੪॥੩੩॥੪੬॥ नानक पाइआ नामु निधानु ॥४॥३३॥४६॥ Nānak pā▫i▫ā nām niḏẖān. ||4||33||46|| Nanak has obtained the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||33||46||
