ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ भैरउ महला ५ ॥ Bẖairo mėhlā 5. Bhairao, Fifth Mehl: ਚਿਤਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਨ ਆਲਕੁ ਆਵੈ ॥ चितवत पाप न आलकु आवै ॥ Cẖiṯvaṯ pāp na ālak āvai. The mortal does not hesitate to think about sin. ਸਾਰੋ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਮਜੂਰੀ ਕਰੈ ॥ सारो दिनसु मजूरी करै ॥ Sāro ḏinas majūrī karai. He works all day long, ਬੇਸੁਆ ਭਜਤ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹ ਸਰਮਾਵੈ ॥ बेसुआ भजत किछु नह सरमावै ॥ Besu▫ā bẖajaṯ kicẖẖ nah sarmāvai. He is not ashamed to spend time with prostitutes. ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀ ਵੇਲਾ ਬਜਰ ਸਿਰਿ ਪਰੈ ॥੧॥ हरि सिमरन की वेला बजर सिरि परै ॥१॥ Har simran kī velā bajar sir parai. ||1|| but when it is time to remember the Lord, then a heavy stone falls on his head. ||1|| ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਭੁਲਾਵਣਹਾਰੈ ਰਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ आपि भुलाइआ भुलावणहारै राचि रहिआ बिरथा बिउहार ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Āp bẖulā▫i▫ā bẖulāvaṇhārai rācẖ rahi▫ā birthā bi▫uhār. ||1|| rahā▫o. The Deluder Himself has deluded the mortal, and now he is engrossed in worthless worldly affairs. ||1||Pause|| ਮਾਇਆ ਲਗਿ ਭੂਲੋ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ माइआ लगि भूलो संसारु ॥ Mā▫i▫ā lag bẖūlo sansār. Attached to Maya, the world is deluded and confused. ਪੇਖਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥ पेखत माइआ रंग बिहाइ ॥ Pekẖaṯ mā▫i▫ā rang bihā▫e. Gazing on Maya's illusion, its pleasures pass away. ਗੜਬੜ ਕਰੈ ਕਉਡੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇ ॥ गड़बड़ करै कउडी रंगु लाइ ॥ Gaṛbaṛ karai ka▫udī rang lā▫e. He loves the shell, and ruins his life. ਅੰਧ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ਬੰਧ ਮਨੁ ਧਾਵੈ ॥ अंध बिउहार बंध मनु धावै ॥ Anḏẖ bi▫uhār banḏẖ man ḏẖāvai. Bound to blind worldly affairs, his mind wavers and wanders. ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਜੀਅ ਮਹਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥ करणैहारु न जीअ महि आवै ॥२॥ Karṇaihār na jī▫a mėh āvai. ||2|| The Creator Lord does not come into his mind. ||2|| ਕਰਤ ਕਰਤ ਇਵ ਹੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ करत करत इव ही दुखु पाइआ ॥ Karaṯ karaṯ iv hī ḏukẖ pā▫i▫ā. Working and working like this, he only obtains pain, ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ पूरन होत न कारज माइआ ॥ Pūran hoṯ na kāraj mā▫i▫ā. and his affairs of Maya are never completed. ਕਾਮਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿ ਲੋਭਿ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਨਾ ॥ कामि क्रोधि लोभि मनु लीना ॥ Kām kroḏẖ lobẖ man līnā. His mind is saturated with sexual desire, anger and greed. ਤੜਫਿ ਮੂਆ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੀਨਾ ॥੩॥ तड़फि मूआ जिउ जल बिनु मीना ॥३॥ Ŧaṛaf mū▫ā ji▫o jal bin mīnā. ||3|| Wiggling like a fish out of water, he dies. ||3|| ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ॥ जिस के राखे होए हरि आपि ॥ Jis ke rākẖe ho▫e har āp. One who has the Lord Himself as his Protector, ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ साधसंगि हरि के गुण गाइआ ॥ Sāḏẖsang har ke guṇ gā▫i▫ā. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, he chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥ हरि हरि नामु सदा जपु जापि ॥ Har har nām saḏā jap jāp. chants and meditates forever on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੨੮॥ नानक सतिगुरु पूरा पाइआ ॥४॥१५॥२८॥ Nānak saṯgur pūrā pā▫i▫ā. ||4||15||28|| O Nanak, he has found the Perfect True Guru. ||4||15||28||
