ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ
सतिगुरु सेविऐ वडी वडिआई ॥
Saṯgur sevi▫ai vadī vadi▫ā▫ī.
Serving the True Guru is the greatest greatness.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਈ
हरि जी अचिंतु वसै मनि आई ॥
Har jī acẖinṯ vasai man ā▫ī.
The Dear Lord automatically comes to dwell in the mind.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਫਲਿਓ ਬਿਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਤਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਤਿਖਾ ਲਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥
हरि जीउ सफलिओ बिरखु है अम्रितु जिनि पीता तिसु तिखा लहावणिआ ॥१॥
Har jī▫o safli▫o birakẖ hai amriṯ jin pīṯā ṯis ṯikẖā lahāvaṇi▫ā. ||1||
The Dear Lord is the fruit-bearing tree; drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, thirst is quenched. ||1||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ
माझ महला ३ ॥
Mājẖ mėhlā 3.
Maajh Third Mehl:

ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ
हउ वारी जीउ वारी सचु संगति मेलि मिलावणिआ ॥
Ha▫o vārī jī▫o vārī sacẖ sangaṯ mel milāvaṇi▫ā.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to the one who leads me to join the True Congregation.

ਹਰਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि सतसंगति आपे मेलै गुर सबदी हरि गुण गावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har saṯsangaṯ āpe melai gur sabḏī har guṇ gāvaṇi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Lord Himself unites me with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ
सतिगुरु सेवी सबदि सुहाइआ ॥
Saṯgur sevī sabaḏ suhā▫i▫ā.
I serve the True Guru; the Word of His Shabad is beautiful.

ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ
जिनि हरि का नामु मंनि वसाइआ ॥
Jin har kā nām man vasā▫i▫ā.
Through it, the Name of the Lord comes to dwell within the mind.

ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥
हरि निरमलु हउमै मैलु गवाए दरि सचै सोभा पावणिआ ॥२॥
Har nirmal ha▫umai mail gavā▫e ḏar sacẖai sobẖā pāvṇi▫ā. ||2||
The Pure Lord removes the filth of egotism, and we are honored in the True Court. ||2||

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ
बिनु गुर नामु न पाइआ जाइ ॥
Bin gur nām na pā▫i▫ā jā▫e.
Without the Guru, the Naam cannot be obtained.

ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਰਹੇ ਬਿਲਲਾਇ
सिध साधिक रहे बिललाइ ॥
Siḏẖ sāḏẖik rahe billā▫e.
The Siddhas and the seekers lack it; they weep and wail.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥
बिनु गुर सेवे सुखु न होवी पूरै भागि गुरु पावणिआ ॥३॥
Bin gur seve sukẖ na hovī pūrai bẖāg gur pāvṇi▫ā. ||3||
Without serving the True Guru, peace is not obtained; through perfect destiny, the Guru is found. ||3||

ਮੋਰਚਾ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਸੋਖੈ
मोरचा न लागै जा हउमै सोखै ॥
Morcẖā na lāgai jā ha▫umai sokẖai.
Rust does not stick to those who burn their ego.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਆਰਸੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੇਖੈ
इहु मनु आरसी कोई गुरमुखि वेखै ॥
Ih man ārsī ko▫ī gurmukẖ vekẖai.
This mind is a mirror; how rare are those who, as Gurmukh, see themselves in it.

ਅਨਹਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਜਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
अनहत बाणी निरमल सबदु वजाए गुर सबदी सचि समावणिआ ॥४॥
Anhaṯ baṇī nirmal sabaḏ vajā▫e gur sabḏī sacẖ samāvaṇi▫ā. ||4||
The Unstruck Melody of the Bani resounds through the Pure Word of the Shabad; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we are absorbed into the True One. ||4||

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਿਹੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਇ
बिनु सतिगुर किहु न देखिआ जाइ ॥
Bin saṯgur kihu na ḏekẖi▫ā jā▫e.
Without the True Guru, the Lord cannot be seen.

ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਆਪੁ ਦਿਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਇ
गुरि किरपा करि आपु दिता दिखाइ ॥
Gur kirpā kar āp ḏiṯā ḏikẖā▫e.
Granting His Grace, He Himself has allowed me to see Him.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
आपे आपि आपि मिलि रहिआ सहजे सहजि समावणिआ ॥५॥
Āpe āp āp mil rahi▫ā sėhje sahj samāvaṇi▫ā. ||5||
All by Himself, He Himself is permeating and pervading; He is intuitively absorbed in celestial peace. ||5||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਇਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ
गुरमुखि होवै सु इकसु सिउ लिव लाए ॥
Gurmukẖ hovai so ikas si▫o liv lā▫e.
One who becomes Gurmukh embraces love for the One.

ਦੂਜਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਏ
दूजा भरमु गुर सबदि जलाए ॥
Ḏūjā bẖaram gur sabaḏ jalā▫e.
Doubt and duality are burned away by the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਵਣਜੁ ਕਰੇ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
काइआ अंदरि वणजु करे वापारा नामु निधानु सचु पावणिआ ॥६॥
Kā▫i▫ā anḏar vaṇaj kare vāpārā nām niḏẖān sacẖ pāvṇi▫ā. ||6||
Within his body, he deals and trades, and obtains the Treasure of the True Name. ||6||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਸਾਰੁ
गुरमुखि करणी हरि कीरति सारु ॥
Gurmukẖ karṇī har kīraṯ sār.
The life-style of the Gurmukh is sublime; he sings the Praises of the Lord.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ
गुरमुखि पाए मोख दुआरु ॥
Gurmukẖ pā▫e mokẖ ḏu▫ār.
The Gurmukh finds the gate of salvation.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
अनदिनु रंगि रता गुण गावै अंदरि महलि बुलावणिआ ॥७॥
An▫ḏin rang raṯā guṇ gāvai anḏar mahal bulāvaṇi▫ā. ||7||
Night and day, he is imbued with the Lord's Love. He sings the Lord's Glorious Praises, and he is called to the Mansion of His Presence. ||7||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ
सतिगुरु दाता मिलै मिलाइआ ॥
Saṯgur ḏāṯā milai milā▫i▫ā.
The True Guru, the Giver, is met when the Lord leads us to meet Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੯॥੧੦॥
नानक नामु मिलै वडिआई हरि सचे के गुण गावणिआ ॥८॥९॥१०॥
Nānak nām milai vadi▫ā▫ī har sacẖe ke guṇ gāvaṇi▫ā. ||8||9||10||
O Nanak, the greatness of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is obtained by chanting the Glorious Praises of the True Lord. ||8||9||10||

ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਨਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸਾਇਆ
पूरै भागि मनि सबदु वसाइआ ॥
Pūrai bẖāg man sabaḏ vasā▫i▫ā.
Through perfect destiny, the Shabad is enshrined in the mind.
