ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਿਓ ਸਰੀਰ ॥ जीउ प्राण जिनि रचिओ सरीर ॥ Jī▫o parāṇ jin racẖi▫o sarīr. He created the soul, the breath of life and the body. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ भैरउ महला ५ ॥ Bẖairo mėhlā 5. Bhairao, Fifth Mehl: ਜਿਨਹਿ ਉਪਾਏ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਪੀਰ ॥੧॥ जिनहि उपाए तिस कउ पीर ॥१॥ Jinėh upā▫e ṯis ka▫o pīr. ||1|| He created all beings, and knows their pains. ||1|| ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੈ ਕਾਮ ॥ गुरु गोबिंदु जीअ कै काम ॥ Gur gobinḏ jī▫a kai kām. The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, is the Helper of the soul. ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਦ ਛਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ हलति पलति जा की सद छाम ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Halaṯ palaṯ jā kī saḏ cẖẖām. ||1|| rahā▫o. Here and hereafter, He always provides shade. ||1||Pause|| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰੀਤਿ ॥ प्रभु आराधन निरमल रीति ॥ Parabẖ ārāḏẖan nirmal rīṯ. Worship and adoration of God is the pure way of life. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਬਿਪਰੀਤਿ ॥੨॥ साधसंगि बिनसी बिपरीति ॥२॥ Sāḏẖsang binsī biprīṯ. ||2|| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the love of duality vanishes. ||2|| ਮੀਤ ਹੀਤ ਧਨੁ ਨਹ ਪਾਰਣਾ ॥ मीत हीत धनु नह पारणा ॥ Mīṯ hīṯ ḏẖan nah pārṇā. Friends, well-wishers and wealth will not support you. ਧੰਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣਾ ॥੩॥ धंनि धंनि मेरे नाराइणा ॥३॥ Ḏẖan ḏẖan mere nārā▫iṇā. ||3|| Blessed, blessed is my Lord. ||3|| ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ नानकु बोलै अम्रित बाणी ॥ Nānak bolai amriṯ baṇī. Nanak utters the Ambrosial Bani of the Lord. ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੬॥ एक बिना दूजा नही जाणी ॥४॥६॥ Ėk binā ḏūjā nahī jāṇī. ||4||6|| Except the One Lord, he does not know any other at all. ||4||6||
