ਲੇਪੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੋ ਤਿਲ ਕਾ ਮੂਲਿ ॥ लेपु न लागो तिल का मूलि ॥ Lep na lāgo ṯil kā mūl. The poison had absolutely no harmful effect. ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ भैरउ महला ५ ॥ Bẖairo mėhlā 5. Bhairao, Fifth Mehl: ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਆਪਿ ॥ हरि जन राखे पारब्रहमि आपि ॥ Har jan rākẖe pārbarahm āp. The Supreme Lord God Himself has saved His humble servant. ਪਾਪੀ ਮੂਆ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਤਾਪਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ पापी मूआ गुर परतापि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Pāpī mū▫ā gur parṯāp. ||1|| rahā▫o. The sinner died through the Power of the Guru. ||1||Pause|| ਦੁਸਟੁ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੁ ਮੂਆ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਸੂਲ ॥੧॥ दुसटु ब्राहमणु मूआ होइ कै सूल ॥१॥ Ḏusat barāhmaṇ mū▫ā ho▫e kai sūl. ||1|| But the wicked Brahmin died in pain. ||1|| ਅਪਣਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਜਨਿ ਆਪਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ अपणा खसमु जनि आपि धिआइआ ॥ Apṇā kẖasam jan āp ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā. The humble servant of the Lord and Master meditates on Him. ਇਆਣਾ ਪਾਪੀ ਓਹੁ ਆਪਿ ਪਚਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ इआणा पापी ओहु आपि पचाइआ ॥२॥ I▫āṇā pāpī oh āp pacẖā▫i▫ā. ||2|| He Himself has destroyed the ignorant sinner. ||2|| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਾ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥ प्रभ मात पिता अपणे दास का रखवाला ॥ Parabẖ māṯ piṯā apṇe ḏās kā rakẖvālā. God is the Mother, the Father and the Protector of His slave. ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਮਾਥਾ ਈਹਾਂ ਊਹਾ ਕਾਲਾ ॥੩॥ निंदक का माथा ईहां ऊहा काला ॥३॥ Ninḏak kā māthā īhāʼn ūhā kālā. ||3|| The face of the slanderer, here and hereafter, is blackened. ||3|| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ जन नानक की परमेसरि सुणी अरदासि ॥ Jan Nānak kī parmesar suṇī arḏās. The Transcendent Lord has heard the prayer of servant Nanak. ਮਲੇਛੁ ਪਾਪੀ ਪਚਿਆ ਭਇਆ ਨਿਰਾਸੁ ॥੪॥੯॥ मलेछु पापी पचिआ भइआ निरासु ॥४॥९॥ Malecẖẖ pāpī pacẖi▫ā bẖa▫i▫ā nirās. ||4||9|| The filthy sinner lost hope and died. ||4||9||
