ਬਾਹਰ ਭੇਖਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ बाहर भेखि न पाईऐ प्रभु अंतरजामी ॥ Bāhar bẖekẖ na pā▫ī▫ai parabẖ anṯarjāmī. By wearing religious robes outwardly, God, the Inner-knower is not found. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਇਕਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਸਭ ਫਿਰੈ ਨਿਕਾਮੀ ॥ इकसु हरि जीउ बाहरी सभ फिरै निकामी ॥ Ikas har jī▫o bāhrī sabẖ firai nikāmī. Without the One Dear Lord, all wander around aimlessly. ਮਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਿਉ ਨਿਤ ਗਰਬਿ ਫਿਰਾਮੀ ॥ मनु रता कुट्मब सिउ नित गरबि फिरामी ॥ Man raṯā kutamb si▫o niṯ garab firāmī. Their minds are imbued with attachment to family, and so they continually wander around, puffed up with pride. ਫਿਰਹਿ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਗਰਬਹਿ ਦਾਮੀ ॥ फिरहि गुमानी जग महि किआ गरबहि दामी ॥ Firėh gumānī jag mėh ki▫ā garbėh ḏāmī. The arrogant wander around the world; why are they so proud of their wealth? ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਚਲਈ ਖਿਨ ਜਾਇ ਬਿਲਾਮੀ ॥ चलदिआ नालि न चलई खिन जाइ बिलामी ॥ Cẖalḏi▫ā nāl na cẖal▫ī kẖin jā▫e bilāmī. Their wealth shall not go with them when they depart; in an instant, it is gone. ਬਿਚਰਦੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਹੁਕਾਮੀ ॥ बिचरदे फिरहि संसार महि हरि जी हुकामी ॥ Bicẖarḏe firėh sansār mėh har jī hukāmī. They wander around in the world, according to the Hukam of the Lord's Command. ਕਰਮੁ ਖੁਲਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ करमु खुला गुरु पाइआ हरि मिलिआ सुआमी ॥ Karam kẖulā gur pā▫i▫ā har mili▫ā su▫āmī. When one's karma is activated, one finds the Guru, and through Him, the Lord and Master is found. ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਾਮੀ ॥੧੪॥ जो जनु हरि का सेवको हरि तिस की कामी ॥१४॥ Jo jan har kā sevko har ṯis kī kāmī. ||14|| That humble being, who serves the Lord, has his affairs resolved by the Lord. ||14||
