ਵਿਣੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨੂਆ ਨ ਲਗੈ ॥ विणु करमा हरि जीउ न पाईऐ बिनु सतिगुर मनूआ न लगै ॥ viṇ karmā har jī▫o na pā▫ī▫ai bin saṯgur manū▫ā na lagai. Without good karma, the Dear Lord is not found; without the True Guru, the mind is not joined to Him. ਪਉੜੀ ॥ पउड़ी ॥ Pa▫oṛī. Pauree: ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਮੁਹਤੁ ਨ ਲਗੈ ॥ अहि करु करे सु अहि करु पाए इक घड़ी मुहतु न लगै ॥ Ah kar kare so ah kar pā▫e ik gẖaṛī muhaṯ na lagai. Whatever one does with this hand, he obtains with the other hand, without a moment's delay. ਧਰਮੁ ਧੀਰਾ ਕਲਿ ਅੰਦਰੇ ਇਹੁ ਪਾਪੀ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਤਗੈ ॥ धरमु धीरा कलि अंदरे इहु पापी मूलि न तगै ॥ Ḏẖaram ḏẖīrā kal anḏre ih pāpī mūl na ṯagai. Only the Dharma remains stable in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga; these sinners will not last at all. ਹਉਮੈ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਛੁਟਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਤਸੰਗੈ ॥ हउमै मूलि न छुटई विणु साधू सतसंगै ॥ Ha▫umai mūl na cẖẖut▫ī viṇ sāḏẖū saṯsangai. Egotism is never eradicated without the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ਚਾਰੇ ਜੁਗ ਮੈ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਵਿਣੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਨ ਭਗੈ ॥ चारे जुग मै सोधिआ विणु संगति अहंकारु न भगै ॥ Cẖāre jug mai soḏẖi▫ā viṇ sangaṯ ahaʼnkār na bẖagai. I have examined the four ages, and without the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, egotism does not depart. ਤਿਚਰੁ ਥਾਹ ਨ ਪਾਵਈ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿਉ ਮਨ ਭੰਗੈ ॥ तिचरु थाह न पावई जिचरु साहिब सिउ मन भंगै ॥ Ŧicẖar thāh na pāv▫ī jicẖar sāhib si▫o man bẖangai. As long as one's mind is torn away from his Lord and Master, he finds no place of rest. ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਘਰਿ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਅਭਗੈ ॥ जिनि जनि गुरमुखि सेविआ तिसु घरि दीबाणु अभगै ॥ Jin jan gurmukẖ sevi▫ā ṯis gẖar ḏībāṇ abẖgai. That humble being, who, as Gurmukh, serves the Lord, has the Support of the Imperishable Lord in the home of his heart. ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਗੈ ॥੧੧॥ हरि किरपा ते सुखु पाइआ गुर सतिगुर चरणी लगै ॥११॥ Har kirpā ṯe sukẖ pā▫i▫ā gur saṯgur cẖarṇī lagai. ||11|| By the Lord's Grace, peace is obtained, and one is attached to the feet of the Guru, the True Guru. ||11||
