ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਭਰਮਸਹਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਵਹਿ ਨੀਤ ॥ नाम विहूणे भरमसहि आवहि जावहि नीत ॥ Nām vihūṇe bẖarmasėh āvahi jāvėh nīṯ. Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they wander around, continually coming and going in reincarnation. ਮਃ ੪ ॥ मः ४ ॥ Mėhlā 4. Fourth Mehl: ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਰੀਤਿ ॥੨॥ नानक सचा मंनि लै सचु करणी सचु रीति ॥२॥ Nānak sacẖā man lai sacẖ karṇī sacẖ rīṯ. ||2|| O Nanak, believe in the True Lord, and practice Truth, through the lifestyle of Truth. ||2|| ਇਕਿ ਬਾਂਧੇ ਇਕਿ ਢੀਲਿਆ ਇਕਿ ਸੁਖੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥ इकि बांधे इकि ढीलिआ इकि सुखीए हरि प्रीति ॥ Ik bāʼnḏẖe ik dẖīli▫ā ik sukẖī▫e har parīṯ. Some are in bondage, and some are set free; some are happy in the Love of the Lord. ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤਿ ਖੜਗੁ ਕਰਾਰਾ ॥ गुर ते गिआनु पाइआ अति खड़गु करारा ॥ Gur ṯe gi▫ān pā▫i▫ā aṯ kẖaṛag karārā. From the Guru, I have obtained the supremely powerful sword of spiritual wisdom. ਦੂਜਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਗੜੁ ਕਟਿਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ॥ दूजा भ्रमु गड़ु कटिआ मोहु लोभु अहंकारा ॥ Ḏūjā bẖaram gaṛ kati▫ā moh lobẖ ahaʼnkārā. I have cut down the fortress of duality and doubt, attachment, greed and egotism.
