ਰੈਣਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੜੀ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥ रैणि सुहावड़ी दिनसु सुहेला ॥ Raiṇ suhāvaṛī ḏinas suhelā. Beautiful is the night, and beautiful is the day, ਜਪਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲਾ ॥ जपि अम्रित नामु संतसंगि मेला ॥ Jap amriṯ nām saṯsang melā. when one joins the Society of the Saints and chants the Ambrosial Naam. ਘੜੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪਲ ਵੰਞਹਿ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਸਫਲੁ ਤਿਥਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ घड़ी मूरत सिमरत पल वंञहि जीवणु सफलु तिथाई जीउ ॥१॥ Gẖaṛī mūraṯ simraṯ pal vañahi jīvaṇ safal ṯithā▫ī jī▫o. ||1|| If you remember the Lord in meditation for a moment, even for an instant, then your life will become fruitful and prosperous. ||1|| ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ माझ महला ५ ॥ Mājẖ mėhlā 5. Maajh, Fifth Mehl: ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੋਖ ਸਭਿ ਲਾਥੇ ॥ सिमरत नामु दोख सभि लाथे ॥ Simraṯ nām ḏokẖ sabẖ lāthe. Remembering the Naam, the Name of the Lord, all sinful mistakes are erased. ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਥੇ ॥ अंतरि बाहरि हरि प्रभु साथे ॥ Anṯar bāhar har parabẖ sāthe. Inwardly and outwardly, the Lord God is always with us. ਭੈ ਭਉ ਭਰਮੁ ਖੋਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੇਖਾ ਸਭਨੀ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ भै भउ भरमु खोइआ गुरि पूरै देखा सभनी जाई जीउ ॥२॥ Bẖai bẖa▫o bẖaram kẖo▫i▫ā gur pūrai ḏekẖā sabẖnī jā▫ī jī▫o. ||2|| Fear, dread and doubt have been dispelled by the Perfect Guru; now, I see God everywhere. ||2|| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਵਡ ਊਚ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ प्रभु समरथु वड ऊच अपारा ॥ Parabẖ samrath vad ūcẖ apārā. God is All-powerful, Vast, Lofty and Infinite. ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ आदि अंति मधि प्रभु सोई दूजा लवै न लाई जीउ ॥३॥ Āḏ anṯ maḏẖ parabẖ so▫ī ḏūjā lavai na lā▫ī jī▫o. ||3|| In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, there is God. Nothing else even comes close to Him. ||3|| ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥ नउ निधि नामु भरे भंडारा ॥ Na▫o niḏẖ nām bẖare bẖandārā. The Naam is overflowing with the nine treasures. ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ करि किरपा मेरे दीन दइआला ॥ Kar kirpā mere ḏīn ḏa▫i▫ālā. Take pity on me, O my Lord, Merciful to the meek. ਜਾਚਿਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥ जाचिकु जाचै साध रवाला ॥ Jācẖik jācẖai sāḏẖ ravālā. I am a beggar, begging for the dust of the feet of the Holy. ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੮॥੪੫॥ देहि दानु नानकु जनु मागै सदा सदा हरि धिआई जीउ ॥४॥३८॥४५॥ Ḏėh ḏān Nānak jan māgai saḏā saḏā har ḏẖi▫ā▫ī jī▫o. ||4||38||45|| Servant Nanak begs for this gift: let me meditate on the Lord, forever and ever. ||4||38||45||
