ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥ ओति पोति सेवक संगि राता ॥ Oṫ poṫ sévak sang raaṫaa. Through and through, the Lord is intermingled with His servant. ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ माझ महला ५ ॥ Maajʰ mėhlaa 5. Maajh, Fifth Mehl: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ प्रभ प्रतिपाले सेवक सुखदाता ॥ Parabʰ parṫipaalé sévak sukʰ▫ḋaaṫa. God, the Giver of Peace, cherishes His servant. ਪਾਣੀ ਪਖਾ ਪੀਸਉ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੀ ਕਾ ਆਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ पाणी पखा पीसउ सेवक कै ठाकुर ही का आहरु जीउ ॥१॥ Paaṇee pakʰaa peesa▫o sévak kæ tʰaakur hee kaa aahar jee▫o. ||1|| I carry the water, wave the fan, and grind the grain for the servant of my Lord and Master. ||1|| ਕਾਟਿ ਸਿਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ काटि सिलक प्रभि सेवा लाइआ ॥ Kaat silak parabʰ sévaa laa▫i▫aa. God has cut the noose from around my neck; He has placed me in His Service. ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ हुकमु साहिब का सेवक मनि भाइआ ॥ Hukam saahib kaa sévak man bʰaa▫i▫aa. The Lord and Master’s Command is pleasing to the mind of His servant. ਸੋਈ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਮਾਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ सोई कमावै जो साहिब भावै सेवकु अंतरि बाहरि माहरु जीउ ॥२॥ So▫ee kamaavæ jo saahib bʰaavæ sévak anṫar baahar maahar jee▫o. ||2|| He does that which pleases his Lord and Master. Inwardly and outwardly, the servant knows his Lord. ||2|| ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥ तूं दाना ठाकुरु सभ बिधि जानहि ॥ Ṫooⁿ ḋaanaa tʰaakur sabʰ biḋʰ jaanėh. You are the All-knowing Lord and Master; You know all ways and means. ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣਹਿ ॥ ठाकुर के सेवक हरि रंग माणहि ॥ Tʰaakur ké sévak har rang maaṇėh. The servant of the Lord and Master enjoys the Love and Affection of the Lord. ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਸੋ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਾਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ जो किछु ठाकुर का सो सेवक का सेवकु ठाकुर ही संगि जाहरु जीउ ॥३॥ Jo kichʰ tʰaakur kaa so sévak kaa sévak tʰaakur hee sang jaahar jee▫o. ||3|| That which belongs to the Lord and Master, belongs to His servant. The servant becomes distinguished in association with his Lord and Master. ||3|| ਅਪੁਨੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਰਾਇਆ ॥ अपुनै ठाकुरि जो पहिराइआ ॥ Apunæ tʰaakur jo pėhraa▫i▫aa. He, whom the Lord and Master dresses in the robes of honor, ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਲੇਖਾ ਪੁਛਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥ बहुरि न लेखा पुछि बुलाइआ ॥ Bahur na lékʰaa puchʰ bulaa▫i▫aa. is not called to answer for his account any longer. ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੋ ਗਹਿਰ ਗਭੀਰਾ ਗਉਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੨੫॥ तिसु सेवक कै नानक कुरबाणी सो गहिर गभीरा गउहरु जीउ ॥४॥१८॥२५॥ Ṫis sévak kæ Naanak kurbaaṇee so gahir gabʰeeraa ga▫uhar jee▫o. ||4||18||25|| Nanak is a sacrifice to that servant. He is the pearl of the deep and unfathomable Ocean of God. ||4||18||25|| ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ सभ किछु घर महि बाहरि नाही ॥ Sabʰ kichʰ gʰar mėh baahar naahee. Everything is within the home of the self; there is nothing beyond.
