Soḏẖ(i). 1. ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ, ਘੋਖ/ਖੋਜ/ਛਾਣਬੀਣ/ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਕੇ। 2. ਸ਼ੁਧ ਕਰ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰ। 1. search, probe, scrutinize, examine, carefully consider. 2. rectify, purify.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਸਾਸਤ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸੋਧਿ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਕੋਇ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 3, Asatpadee 1, 6:1 (P: 229).
ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੋਧਿ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ (ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲੈ). Raga Gaurhee 5, Vaar 4:1 (P: 319).
2. ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਸੋਧਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ Raga Aaasaa 3, Asatpadee 32, 8:1 (P: 427).
