Vārī-ai. 1. ਕੁਰਬਾਣ ਕਰ ਦੇਈਏ। sacrifies. “ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਸਭੋ ਸਗਲ ਵਾਰੀਐ ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥” ਸਿਰੀ ੫, ੮੩, ੪:੨ (੪੭). 2. ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਘੁਮਾਉਣਾ, ਇਕ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸ਼ਗਨ। to wave water around ones head towards some. “ਉਪਰਹੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਰੀਐ ਝਲੇ ਝਿਮਕਨਿ ਪਾਸਿ ॥” ਆਸਾ ੧, ਅਸ ੧੧, ੨:੩ (੪੧੭). 3. ਵੇਰ, ਕ੍ਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਵਾਰ, ਵਾਰੀ, ਮੌਕਾ, ਅਵਸਰ। turn. “ਜੋ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਚਲਸੀ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਆਈ ਵਾਰੀਐ ॥” ਆਸਾ ੧, ਵਾਰ ੨੦:੩ (੪੭੪).
