(ਨਿਗਹਬਾਂ, ਨਿਗਹਬਾਨ) ਨਾਮ/n. ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ. ਰਕ੍ਸ਼ਕ। 2. ਪਹਿਰੂ. ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ. “ਛੋਡਿ ਗਏ ਨਿਗਹਾਰ.” (ਮਾਰੂ ਮਃ ੫) ਭਾਵ- ਯਮਗਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ. Footnotes:
