Ḏarūḏ. 1. ਨਮਾਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਜੋ ਦੁਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। 2. ਕਿਸੇ ਪੁਰਬ ਉਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਦੁਆ। 1. prayer which is recited after performing Namaz. 2. prayer recited by Qazi before accepting meals(eatables) on the occasion of Id.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਬਰਕਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੜਦੇ ਰਹਨਿ ਦਰੂਦ ॥ Raga Sireeraag 1, Asatpadee 1, 3:3 (P: 53).
2. ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਝਾਕੁ ਦਰੂਦ ॥ Raga Maaroo 5, Vaar 6, Salok, 5, 2:2 (P: 1096).

ਫ਼ਾ. [درُود] ਨਾਮ/n. ਦੁਆ. ਬੇਨਤੀ. “ਪੜਦੇ ਰਹਨਿ ਦਰੂਦ.” (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅ: ਮਃ ੧) 2. ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਸਤੋਤ੍ਰ. “ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਝਾਕੁ ਦਰੂਦ.” (ਵਾਰ ਮਾਰੂ ੨ ਮਃ ੫) ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਰੂਦ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਪੀਰ ਦੇ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਰੋਟ ਆਦਿ ਭੇਟਾ ਅਰਪਣ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. Footnotes:
