Ŧapaṯ. 1. ਗਰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਭਾਵ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। 2. ਤਤਾ, ਸੜਦਾ। 1. handle (their kitchen), cook their food. 2. hot, burning, heated.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਚੰਦੁ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤਪਤ ਰਸੋਈ ॥ (ਭਾਵ ਰਸੋਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ). Raga Aaasaa, Kabir, 21, 3:1 (P: 481).
2. ਗੁਨ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨ ਜਪਿਆ ਤਪਤ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਤਿਆ ॥ Raga Bihaagarhaa 5, Chhant 7, 3:4 (P: 546).
ਉਦਾਹਰਨ:
ਤਪਤ ਕੜਾਹਾ ਬੁਝਿ ਗਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਸੀਤਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ॥ Raga Maaroo 5, 14, 1:2 (P: 1002).
