1. ਕਲਾ ਧਰੈ ਹਿਰੈ ਸੁਈ ॥ Raga Maajh 1, Vaar 13, Salok, 1, 7:3 (P: 144).
2. ਸਿਖ ਕੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਲੁ ਹਿਰੈ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 5, Sukhmanee 18, 1:3 (P: 286).
ਉਦਾਹਰਨ:
ਲਾਭੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤੋਟਾ ਹਿਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਤਿਵੰਤ ॥ (ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ). Raga Gaurhee 5, Thitee, 2:5 (P: 297).
3. ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਹਿਰੈ ॥ Raga Aaasaa 5, 11, 1:2 (P: 373).
4. ਸੋਨਾ ਗਢਤੇ ਹਿਰੈ ਸੁਨਾਰਾ ॥ Raga Gond, Naamdev, 2, 2:2 (P: 873).
5. ਹੋਂਦੀ ਕਉ ਅਣਹੋਂਦੀ ਹਿਰੈ ॥ Raga Raamkalee 5, 54, 2:4 (P: 900).
ਦਰਬੁ ਹਿਰੈ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਖਾਇ ॥ (ਚੁਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ). Raga Bhairo 5, 16, 1:2 (P: 1139).

ਹਰਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 2. ਚੁਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 3. ਹ੍ਰਾਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਘਟਦਾ ਹੈ. “ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲੈ ਤੋਟਾ ਹਿਰੈ.” (ਗਉ ਥਿਤੀ ਮਃ ੫) 4. ਹੇਰਣ ਕਰਦਾ (ਵੇਖਦਾ) ਹੈ. “ਹੋਂਦੀ ਕਉ ਅਨਹੋਂਦੀ ਹਿਰੈ.” (ਰਾਮ ਮਃ ੫) “ਕੌਡਾ ਡਾਰਤ ਹਿਰੈ ਜੁਆਰੀ.” (ਗੌਂਡ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ). Footnotes:
